UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

National Society of Black Engineers

National Mission Statement

To increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

Chapter Mission Statement

To retain a talented and successful chapter dedicated to personal, professional, and academic growth.

Excelling Academically

With creative, engaging, and interactive programs, NSBE engages its student body with technical programs that make use of the skills that they learn in their classes. These technical projects and workshops make use of skills and give valuable experience to every member that participates, providing not just a fun, engaging experience but also valuable supplements to a growing resume.

Developing Leaders

NSBE is one of the largest student-managed organization in the country with more than 20,000 members. With over 2000 elected leadership positions, 12 regional conferences and an annual convention, NSBE provides opportunities for success that remain unmatched by other organizations. We focus on our members through talent development and technical excellence programs that develop professionals.

Impacting the Community

NSBE promotes public awareness of engineering and the

opportunities for Blacks and other minorities in the profession. Through NSBE's PCI program, our chapter works to impact the younger generations by teaching them about engineering through workshops in hopes of sparking a light in their hearts. With our yearly A Walk for Education event, we reach an even larger audience as we work with the city to engage even more individuals.
